Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and efficient Release Assistant. This role is responsible for tracking and coordinating a broad range of activities in support of our product release cycles while interfacing with our operational and technical development teams. This position requires previous project administration experience as well as strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment and has an enthusiasm for new technologies.


  • Assisting project leads to execute project plans for each release cycle
  • Helping to track and maintain requirement lists
  • Creating, maintaining and monitoring all release-related tickets with appropriate deadlines, watchers and follow-up
  • Proactively tracking project and release milestones
  • Communicating release plans to internal teams
  • Reviewing and updating customer notifications for each release cycle
  • Supporting all release-related meetings
  • Recording detailed notes from meetings with discussion details, decisions made, next steps and action items
  • Documenting and improving internal processes
  • Maintaining projects pages and dashboards


  • Previous experience with project administration or coordination
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytic skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Proven ability to interact with cross-functional teams
  • High degree of initiative
  • Experience with Jira or other project management software
  • Basic editorial and/or technical writing experience is a plus
  • Previous exposure to Wolfram|Alpha, Mathematica, Wolfram Language or other technical software is a plus
