, ,Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Release Engineer to join our Release Engineering department. The Release Engineer will be responsible for turning ideas and prototypes into products and distributing automation systems that build products for every platform. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail oriented and willing to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining and developing the department web portal
- Advising developers on release-related issues
- Diagnosing build and automation issues
- Researching and migrating to new automation systems
- Optimizing automation systems to reduce product build time
- Recognizing cross-platform porting issues
- Configuring and maintaining build machines
- Maintaining the internal documentation for the RE codebase and processes
- Administrating servers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT or a related STEM field
- Strong communication skills
- Programming experience in one or several programming languages and willingness to learn more
- Experience with Linux, macOS and/or Windows
- Experience with scripting
- Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly
- Good research habits
Preferred qualifications
- Familiar with Wolfram Language
- Experience with C and C++
- Familiar with Python 2.7/3.6
- Familiar with Kotlin
- Familiar with integration tools like Jenkins and TeamCity
- Familiar with Apache Ant
- Strong experience with Git
- Familiar with CVS
- Familiar with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Familiar with Django and jQuery
- Familiar with MariaDB and SQL
Location: Champaign, Illinois, or remote

Reporting to: Manager of Release Engineering
Salary (for eligible candidates residing in the United States): For candidates based in the United States, the salary for this position is expected to be $65,000 per year.
