Job title: Textbook Content Developer

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated temporary Textbook Content Developer to join the Algorithms R&D department. The Textbook Content Developer will transform technical concepts into content for our upcoming books. 

Responsibilities

  • Creating and reviewing content, examples and solutions for our upcoming books
  • Creating visual content in the form of images and animations to complement the text
  • Creating slideshows and videos corresponding to book chapters to be packaged as a course

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English, with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field: mechanical, electrical, industrial and the like are the best matches
  • Familiarity with image and signal processing concepts
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative
  • Strong organizational and analytic skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in teaching, teaching assistance and textbook writing
  • Experience with a programming language, specifically Wolfram Language

Location: Fully remote and seeking candidates from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru
Job type: Full time (40 hours per week)/Independent Contractor
Reporting to: Senior Kernel Developer
