Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join its Wolfram|Alpha Web R&D group. The ideal candidate is someone with skills in software engineering who has extensive experience with the automation of application deployment and managing CI/CD cycles.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining our CI/CD pipeline
- Creating and deploying our services
- Setting up and configuring monitoring solutions for system and application monitoring
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation
- Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as EFK (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana), Prometheus and Grafana
- Strong scripting skills in Bash for automation and system administration tasks
- Experience working with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- In-depth knowledge of Git methodologies and best practices
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, like Terraform or Ansible
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related technical or quantitative field
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
